When you are heading to Tioman Island, you will have to get to Mersing or Tanjung Gemok first then take a ferry to Tioman Island.

Kuala Lumpur to Mersing
There are buses departing at least five times per day from the new Bandar Tasik Selatan Bus Terminal south of Kuala Lumpur . It takes about 6 hours to get to Mersing from there.
You can book online at Transnasional or get your tickets from the ticket counter there. Price is around 30 MYR one way.

Mersing to Tioman by Ferry
Ferry’s to Tioman leave Mersing on a regular basis. It takes about 2 hours to get to Tioman.
